Think Paris is expensive? Think again.

I didn’t fall in love with Paris until my third visit, in 2000. I arrived in Paris at the end of a perfect 2-week holiday that began in Venice, with stops at Lake Como, Milan, Nice and Uzes on the way to Paris.

When I was checking in at the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles, the manager Maria said to me “You are home now.” How did she know?

I left my corporate life behind in 2015, when I sold nearly everything and followed my dream to move to Paris - for what I called a “career break”.  Not surprisingly, I  have found that life in Paris agrees with me and have no plans to return to my former life as a credit union CEO.

With Paris on a Dime my goal is to provide you with a practical guide for visiting Paris - and beyond, without spending a fortune.
